I have to admit that neck pickup is a whole different vibe. My M-II has a front single that is back angled. Equally useful but slightly different!

I got my brother an orange stain 5420T with the FT5E filtertrons. Best bang for your buck out there. I am thirsting for a players editions black duo jet with the mahogany back. It’s an iconic, high contrast guitar with a warm woody back. I’d probably get it with the dynasonics since I have tried the filtertrons, as the dynasonics have a scooped P90esque sound. Basically the Harrison jet but with the wood back.

I just wish these guitar demos would play some familiar riffs. For example, show how these pickups can give a vintage Jimmy Page sound. If you are demoing an SG, show that it can do the Live at Leeds voice. This is just a lot of meaningless wanking.

Two Rock amp is just shy of $4K/used maybe a little bit less...Deluxe Reverb Reissue can roughly cost you south of $2k.

You can see so many similar design elements with Suhr and Tom Anderson I sometimes mistake one for the other.

It lacks gain, it doesn't sound very hi-gain to me. It is missing at least 3 or 4 more valves in the preamp.

The range of sounds from that guitar is unlike anything I’ve ever heard. I love playing but I can’t see myself owning ten different guitars… Amazing. Worth the price IMO.

What are the specs on this guitar?

Genuine 60s ES-335 and genuine 60s Strat into the amp on full volume to demo it. Love it! For this type of amp that's a great way to showcase how people were using it back in the day and how it can still sound great under those circumstances. Not saying that's the only way to use it but so cool that it's demonstrated this way.
